Two ways to look at the crop: Preview & OverviewWhen in crop mode you will will find two small icons in the lower left corner of the texture window:
The left is the Overview button and the right is the Preview button. These two buttons toggle between the Preview and the Overview. Overview: When the crop mode is entered the Overview is selected. The Overview shows the whole bitmap an four draggable points that determine the inside area to be cropped:
You can drap the four points to any position inside the bitmap. Preview: After you have dragged the four points to approximately good positions you go to the Preview. It shows the area inside the four points. When you leave the crop mode, this is how the texture will look like:
In the preview you can fine tune the edges with the tools in the floating window. The crop is not final until you leave the crop mode. You can switch between Overview and Preview as you like, this will not degrade quality. The bitmap will be cropped when you enter edit mode again.
